Your business is on Facebook, right? If not, it’s time to fix that.
How to set up a Facebook fan page
- Search for your business on Facebook. If your business already has an official business page, you’ll need administrator access to it. Ask a current admin of the page to add you. If your business is listed as an unmanaged Places page, you’ll need to claim it. If your business doesn’t have a page, go here and create one.
- Once you’ve claimed your page, fill out all of your business’s information. This ensures your address, phone number and hours of operation are easy to find.
- Upload a profile picture and cover photo. Your profile picture should be a square image that’s at least 180 by 180 pixels large. We recommend using your logo, so it’s easy to identify your business. For your cover photo, choose a graphic (or create a collage) that really represents the spirit of your business. This image needs to measure 851 by 315 pixels.
Once your page is set-up, it’s time to spread the word! Put up flyers in your restaurant and train your staff to tell customers about your new Facebook page. Be sure to post frequently on your page to keep fans informed and excited about what’s happening at your business.
